Three nights in a row
4 02 2007My eight week old daughter Natalya slept through last night - again. That makes 3 nights in a row. She woke this morning when Haydon’s alarm went at 5:50. I didn’t sleep through. My left boob was ready to burst! I woke up with the discomfort during the night. Usually after a long sleep she is ravenous when she wakes up but not this morning. Little tease, she just wanted to look around and take her time. I was begging her to have a feed and relieve the pressure.

Oh wow - how lucky are you!! I completely understand with the bursting thing - because Charley was premmie and was still so little when I brought her home, I had to set my alarm and wake her for feeds - it was so frustrating when she didn’t want to feed - I was almost begging her too so the pain would go away!
I’m sure you have thought of this, but maybe when you wake up uncomfortable you could express a little bit off so relieve the discomfort? You can freeze breastmilk for up to three months, and sometimes it is handy to have a bit in reserve just in case. In the meantime, count your blessings - Charley is two and still doesn’t sleep though!
Lucky you! My 2 didn’t sleep through the night until they were over 1…
With your boob, maybe express a bit and freeze it for emergencies. The Australian Breastfeeding Association has some fantastic bags you can use for freezing.
